The H2CAT Network and the AccessCat Network join forces for a new training cycle. On 14 and 17 July, Introduction to Transfer I.
Knowledge transfer is a key element in research. Do you have a technology, service, know-how, or any other aspect of your research with the potential to benefit society? The new H2CAT and AccessCat training course is for you.
Titled Introduction to Transfer I, this course combines preparatory work, practical sessions, and interaction with proven methodologies to help researchers explore how to identify and define real-world issues, validate potential solutions, and start developing a business model. The goal is to foster an impact-oriented mindset and to equip participants to develop projects that can be transferred to the market or society.
The training course is divided into two sessions:
- Session 1 - Problem and Business Model: Introduces the fundamentals of knowledge transfer and guides participants in order to clearly define the problem they aim to solve and any possible alternatives, as well as laying the groundwork for developing a business model to support the transfer. Monday, 14 July, from 12:00 to 14:00.
- Session 2 - Customer Discovery and Interviews: Explores the importance of validating the problem and the solution through customer and user discovery. We will learn how to design a technical validation plan to conduct interviews with the potential audience. Thursday, 17 July, from 12:00 to 14:00.
On 18 and 29 September, the training course continues with Introduction to Transfer II, a second module designed for participants who have already started validating their projects and who want to reach a solid proposal that can be presented (the final objective of the sessions is to define the business model, gain deep knowledge of the market, and develop an effective pitch).
This second module is independent, so participants may attend without having attended the first sessions. However, in these cases, a preparatory session will be held to ensure new participants share a common foundation of knowledge and tools.
The training course is exclusively for researchers in the H2CAT and AccessCat networks. It is taught by Javier de la Ossa, expert in supporting entrepreneurs and accelerators, and Cristina Sáenz de Pipaón, doctor in physics, entrepreneur, and also a trainer and expert in acceleration programmes.
