The Network was present at the UAB stands in 4YFN, the space dedicated to startups and investment, together with the CLiC and GRIHO research groups.

The Mobile World Congress is considered the largest and most influential technology congress in the world. An increasingly important fair (this year surpassing its attendance records with over one hundred thousand participants), it attracts tech giants and representatives from dozens of countries around the world.

The MWC not only helps showcase new technologies and promote innovations in the mobile telecommunication and technology sectors. This congress also offers spaces to discuss connected industry, diversity, equity, and inclusion through technology, research, and the knowledge developed at universities.

This is precisely the context in which the AccessCat Network participated. It did so alongside the Autonomous University of Barcelona, its coordinating institution, which provided a space at 4YFN (a congress held within MWC that serves as a global showcase for companies, technologies, and emerging solutions) to present the technologies developed by the innovation network.

During 4YFN, the AccessCat Network was accompanied by Pol Pastells, from the CLiC research group (UB), who presented its transcription and automatic speech synthesis technologies, as well as Afra Pascual Almenara, from the GRIHO research group (UdL), who presented her research and services in web accessibility.

Researcher Horacio Saggion, from the research group TALN (UPF) was also present and presented the iDEM project at the EU-Networking session: “Elevate your funding opportunities”, organised by the Mobile World Capital together with the European Union.

Taking part in this leading congress and being able to use this space to transfer the research performed by AccessCat researchers was an absolute pleasure.
