The GRIHO group (UdL) took part in the CHI 2026 conference, one of the most relevant international platforms in the field of HCI (human–computer interaction). They presented several publications in workshops aimed at both academia and HCI professionals and experts.

For this year’s Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), the GRIHO group (UdL) is organising an online conference to learn about people, design, web development, evaluation and artificial intelligence in the field of digital accessibility.

Anna Matamala, director of AccessCat and researcher at TransMedia Catalonia, will participate in ITU-D SG1 and in Question 5/1: “Consumer protection and empowerment, and meaningful accessibility for all, especially for persons with disabilities and persons with specific needs”. Several UN agencies organise the third UN Virtual Worlds Day, a date to explore and discuss the role of artificial intelligence and virtual technologies in the field of sustainable development. Researcher Pilar Orero (TransMedia Catalonia) will participate.

Presentation event of the SignarIA project and its results. The project has developed a personalised synthetic voice prototype aimed at enabling Deaf sign language users to participate in radio and audiovisual environments without having to give up their own language, Catalan Sign Language (LSC). The event will feature professionals involved in the project, including network researcher Gemma Barberà (LSC Lab, UPF).

The DiCode research group will take part in the Saló de l'Ensenyament 2026, at EspaiCiència, the area dedicated to showcasing research carried out in Catalonia. They will participate together with CITM-UPC (which will have a permanent stand at the event) to present serious games projects developed by members and students associated with the group.
