Meet the affiliated entities that support the AccessCat Network

AccessCat serves as a bridge between research and industry. That is what motivated dozens of entities to become affiliated: to be part of a community that connects researchers, institutions, experts, companies, and entities linked to the accessibility sector.

Mario Montagud (MiA, i2CAT) participates in the ACM MMSys 2025 with the opening keynote. This conference, which celebrates its 16th edition this year, is the main global event focused on multimedia systems.

Anna Matamala, researcher at TransMedia Catalonia and director of the network, presents the AccessCat catalogue at ITU-D. For the occasion, the organisation created explanatory factsheets about the catalogue, its technologies, services, and educational resources in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish.

TransMedia Catalonia research group launches a new seminar series, AccessTalks. The first session is part of Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2025 and will explore through a critical discussion how AI shapes digital accessibility.

In commemoration of GAAD 2025 (Global Accessibility Awareness Day), Blanca Arias (TraDiLex) will deliver a talk on accessibility in the workplace, focusing on the user-journey perspective. The session is part of a private and invitation-only event at Dow Jones.

AccessCat aims to establish itself as a bridge between research, society, and industry. Therefore, for this year’s GAAD, the network will organise an event to present both the evolution of the network since its creation and the catalan social, cultural, and associative fabric dedicated to accessibility.
