Pilar Orero, TransMedia Catalonia's researcher, participates in the 5th ITU Forum on integrating virtual and physical worlds in the metaverse with digital twin as a speaker in the Session 2: Exploring Use Cases and Reference Models for Integrated Virtual-Physical Worlds with Digital Twins.

Researchers from 6 research groups within the AccessCat Network will impart six online training capsules that are fully independent, free, and addressed to the general public. In a practical and entertaining way, they will teach participants how to be more accessible when it comes to communication and information. 

The AccessCat Network, along with researchers from the TransMediaCatalonia and TALN research groups, is part of WSIS 2024, a high-level event co-organized by ITU, UNESCO, UNDP, and UNCTAD.

Researchers Cecili Garriga and María Betulia Pedraza, from the Neolcyt (UAB) research group, will participate in the first convention dedicated to plain communication of the Pan-Hispanic Plain Language Network, organized by the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE).

A workshop intended for staff from the Generalitat de Catalunya's departments and public sector organizations to learn about new regulatory and technological developments in accessibility and future work directions. Researchers Anna Matamala (TransMedia Catalonia, UAB), Horacio Saggion (TALN, UPF), and Estel·la Oncins Noguer (TransMedia Catalonia, UAB) will participate. This event is part of the GAAD 2024.
